The 1956-31 was a Convertible Series event held at Columbia Speedway on August 4, 1956. Curtis Turner captured a series-record fifth consecutive victory, holding off Glen Wood. Eventual season champ Bob Welborn finished fifth after a late crash eliminated him from competition. Stats
