Cassandra Jean Piedra is a freelance illustrator and comic artist. She is currently working closely with Cassandra Clare for artwork on the characters of The Shadowhunter Chronicles, and will work on the new Mortal Instruments graphic novel. Cassandra Jean also drew art for hardcover edition of The Bane Chronicles, the UK/Aus paperback editions of City of Heavenly Fire, and for The Shadowhunter's Codex as Clary Fray.
