Joey "Joseph" K. Ellis was a fast-food worker who killed himself with a pistol that later fell into the possession of twelve-year old Noah Taffet, prompting NCIS to launch an investigation. It was later discovered that Ellis was dead, having committed suicide by shooting himself in the head with a pistol that later fell into Taffet's hands with NCIS Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo and Mossad/NCIS Liaison Officer Ziva David later discovering Ellis's remains.
