The Perdition Shield is a magical item which is awarded upon defeating Vine, the demon that appears after acquiring and inserting the sixteen brains into the designated automaton (constituting the fist test of the Key to the Abyss). The scroll will protect Adam from an illusion created by Belial, in which he finds Rebecca chained to a rock on the Island of Threads, prompting him to let down his guard and consequently giving Belial the opportunity to snatch away Eternity.
