Antar Valen was a member of the Crimson Guard by 18 ABY. Like most of the residing members of the group, he joined their ranks sometime in 6 ABY. Prior to signing on as a member of the Guard, Antar was a mercenary for hire, and his skills with a blaster and his battle prowess were what got the attention of Vex Salder. In late 18 ABY, when the Crimson Guard abandoned the Crimson Empire and fled to Yinchorr, Antar volunteered to run jobs as a mercenary to get the credits needed for a consistent reception of supplies for the group.
