Thomas Vega was a kidnap and ransom expert. He spent most of his career writing about the infamous kidnapper and murderer known as The Gravedigger. He disagreed with the FBI policy of refusing to pay ransom for kidnappings. He was eventually killed by the subject of his life's work, The Gravedigger, or Heather Taffet as it is revealed in the end of the episode.
