David Moshe Goldstein was born on March 4th 3765 to Chaim(3725-3801) and Sara(3736-3825 nee.Meltzer) Goldstein. His father was a wealthy timber merchant, later branching out into other commodities while his mother was a librarian. Goldstein has a younger brother, Gershon. He was initially raised and educated in Netanya Hadash, where he attended Henrietta Szold Elementary School. After graduating from high school, Goldstein enlisted in the BDF. He trained as a combat soldier and served for five years in an elite special forces unit of the BDF.
