Cantlin is the first city in Dragon Quest Builders the player is asked to rebuild. After placing the Banner of Hope down, the town boundaries are created and the player can start receiving quest from Pippa to rebuild the town. Cantlin is also in the original Dragon Quest game and Dragon Quest III.
