During the Clone Wars, a conflict erupted between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Many of the inhabitants had fleed, though some of the war-like species, like the Trandoshans, had joined the battle. A member of those species, Esa Mulita, led the initial defense against both sides, a future bounty hunter. The planet's defenses held and it remained independent from both sides, remaining aligned with the Hutts.
