Tom Cobbler was an American wandmaker. His shop supplied the majority of Wizarding America with wands. In 1927, Cobbler perfected a mass production system, and started making wands by the hundreds. His business continued to grow until virtually all of his competition was muscled out. Unfortunately, Cobbler's wands were inferior to handmade ones, and most wizards or witches who could afford it opted to buy one from a local supplier.
