AR-X9 Prototype Droid was a prototype battle droid used by the Galactic Republic to guard the Olaris Spaceport in the Republic Resettlement Zone on Taris. The droid was armed with a flamethrower and a blaster cannon. During the siege of Olaris by the Imperial forces in 3642 BBY, the droid was activated and engaged the intruders, but was eventually destroyed.
