A set of plush toys was produced by Disney in 2011 as a promotion for the opening of The Muppets at the El Capitan Theatre. The set included small and large versions of Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo and Animal. The set was sold as an exclusive at the El Capitan concession counter, and they sold out early in the movie's run. The same set was also offered as a promotion at Hoyts Cinemas in Australia for the Australian release in January 2012.
