John Joseph Jones, known as Jack Jones (8 December 1873 - 21 November 1941), was a Labour Party politician in West Ham. Born in Ireland, he moved to London where he joined the Social Democratic Federation and was elected to West Ham County Borough Council in 1904.He served as Mayor of West Ham in 1923-24. After a number of attempts to enter the House of Commons, Jones was elected as Labour Party member of parliament for West Ham, Silvertown in 1918, holding the seat until he resigned in 1940, a year before his death.
