this series, Alucard is a laid-back, careless, clown who makes jokes rather than care about anything at all. He also is shown to be selfish, perverted, and extremely anti-heroic. Despite that, he's still loyal and does what it takes to get the job done. And of course, he is still a sadist and is still over-confident in all his abilities.
