Andrew Ellis was a Human serving in Starfleet. He was married, and had one child. In the year 2371, he was captured and replaced by a Founder. Ellis was placed into stasis, and held there for seven years, until in 2378 the Changeling required his body as part of a ploy to replace Captain Chakotay. He was then killed by the Changeling using a scalpel in an attempt to make it look like an animal attack. (VOY - Spirit Walk novel: Old Wounds)
