The Grey Jedi Protest, also called the Second Battle of Nubia, was an attempt by members of the Grey Jedi Order to avenge their former leader, Melli Elmu, to removing Zaa Ru from the throne. The attacks were led by Mezz, a young Grey Jedi would have been close friends with Elmu since they were younglings. The Grey Jedi, after their notice came on deaf ears, charged a fortress on Nubia and held the worker there captive, threatening to kill them unless Ru resigned. Ru order his troops to attack. The result was the death of hundreds of men, women and children.
