After Lara Croft has made her escape from Ahmed Ben Trayal and a couple henchmen, Werner Von Croy arrives on the scene in his Buick Roadmaster car and is none too happy about Lara's escape from Ahmed. The next day, Von Croy drives his car to the Temple of Karnak along with two jeeps containing his assassins. He gets out of the car and orders them to go after Lara who is currently in the Great Hypostyle Hall at the complex. It is also probable that Von Croy's car was being transported on one of the train carriages to Alexandria. On the journey to Cairo, Von Croy is once again at the wheel of the car this time accompanied by a convoy being escorted by the unwilling Jean-Yves in one of two large trucks.
