The cleaving worm was a non-sentient animal—worm—that lived on the planet Novus Kamino Prime. It was considered to be a nuisance, as it crawled into a being's body and sucked their blood and implanted its eggs into the host body, causing extreme pain. Cleaving worms were a massive race and were sometimes used by crime syndicates and other less than legal places for torture.
