In Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, A-Kul is one of the 10 Luminoth Keybearers. Both of her cadres were attacked, and she tried to send S-Jrs back for reinforcements, though he did not survive the trip. She was the only one to successfully complete the Keybearer mission, inserting her key into the base of the Sky Temple, the Sky Temple Gateway. Before her death, she stored clues on her nine fallen compatriots within the keyholes they failed to fill in an effort to aid future warriors, in case they should attempt to complete the mission.
