Mr. Pratt rented a cabin from Old Man Gately in Mountain Park. A man named Jenkins came by and saw that his place was a mess as if there was some kind of struggle, after that, Pratt disappeared, never to be seen again. He was either murdered by Joel Moss or scared away.
