The first section (Taki Kudari) is a pole that contestants must grab onto and slide downwards. Some just opt to jump down into the abyss (most likely grouped with the next section, Free Climbing, because of its ease). Then, the challenger must ascend a rock wall to get to the buzzer. However, the rock wall, apart from having no safety harness, is made more hard by the bottom section moving downwards on a conveyer belt. This can make a slow competitor remain in one place for forever, so speed is needed.
