Cygnet IV is a habitable planet in the system orbiting the star Cygnet near the Klingon border but in Federation space. In late 2379, after replacing himself with a holographic duplicate, Emperor Kahless traveled to Cygnet IV, where the USS Enterprise-E found him. Kahless was painting landscapes, including the ruby-hued rivers and fortra bushes, which were blooming their flowers. After the Enterprise returned the Klingon to Qo'noS where his identity was confirmed by Chancellor Martok and the High Council by the vit 'Iw tay, the IKS Ditagh and USS Cerberus escorted Kahless back to Cygnet to continue his work.
