On stardate 2262.335, the Tereshkova rendezvoused with USS Enterprise. However, both the Tereshkova and Enterprise were attacked by an Orion starship. The marauder ship abducted Orion personnel from both ships, who were subsequently rescued by the Enterprise. Tereshkova's science officer, Gaila wished to transfer to the Enterprise.
