The War Journal in Gears of War 2 is a new feature which allows players to track single and multiplayer achievements, as well as the 41 items collectively called "collectibles." In addition to the COG Tags, the collectible items include letters, medical records, newspaper clippings and other items that add depth to the game's story. The journal is also where you can see all of your photos and either delete them or submit them or leave them as they are. If you submit a screenshot you get the achievement "Photojournalist".
