FNV-23-B was the antiviral drug developed to "counteract" the plague called the Gray Death that struck the planet Sedesia. This cure was also created by the Galactic Empire, and every dose contained tiny globules of FNV-23 held within a polysaccharide coating. When digested, it released a new strain of FNV-23 into the system, thereby requiring another dose of the "cure".
