Wartizome is a magical plant. It is sold in one of the apothecaries in Diagon Alley, thus they are presumably used in potion-making. Remus Lupin kept a jar of it in his office during his tenure as Defence Against the Dark Arts professor in the 1993–1994 school year at Hogwarts.
