A heat-seal was applied to a bone that had been reconstructed, after replacing the marrow. The heat-seal prepared the bone so that muscle, flesh, and skin could then be re-formed around it. In 2 ABY Captain-Supervisor Grammel had the bones of his right arm heat-sealed during reconstructive surgery to repair significant injuries he had sustained during a prison break.
