Scientists David Tate and Nicole Simmons developed a cell regeneration serum that was intended to preserve a human body through the effects of cryogenic freezing. Tate and Simmons were developing the serum for an OSI project intended to develop suspended animation for interstellar space flight. Side effects of the serum, especially at high doses, include superhuman strength, superhuman speed, superhuman endurance and violent seizures. (The Pioneers)
