Jeanne des Armoises (also Claude des Armoises; ) was a French adventurer living in the 15th century. She was reportedly a soldier in the Pope's army in Italy. She married the knight Robert des Armoises. With the help of Joan of Arc's brothers, Jean and Pierre, she claimed to be Joan of Arc alive and well in 1436.[citation needed] The deception ended in Paris in 1440, when she made a full confession to Charles VII. She retired to his castle at Jaulny and had children, whose descendants survive today.[citation needed]
