The character is known as the 'Innkeeper's Pal' in the credits of KQ5. Only the Innkeeper and the Innkeeper's Pal appears in KQ5 for the nes. The other thief does not appear in the game. Incidentally, these are referred to as thug 1 and thug 2 in the script script files.
