Robert Morris was a Commander at Norfolk and Jerry Smith's C.O who was originally suspected of killing Smith because Smith had been sleeping with Morris's wife at Pearl Harbor. Morris had a solid alibi: that he was working the morning Smith had died and as such, was later found innocent of any wrongdoing.
