The Battle of Coruscant was an invasion of Coruscant by the Dark Empire in 254 ABY, being the culmination of the Triumvirate Civil War. The Empire, led by Dark Emperor Johan Fel himself from aboard his flagship, ultimately prevailed. However, the Alliance of Free Worlds put up an unexpected ferocious resistance, and in the middle of the battle, a Sith and Imperial officer went rogue, becoming warlords. They wanted control of the Empire, but the forces loyal to the Emperor defeated the upstarts. Afterwards, Coruscant became the capital of the Empire.
