Weber County, Utah, As of the 2010 census, the population was 231,236, making it the fourth-most populous county in Utah. Its county seat and largest city is Ogden, the home of Weber State University. The county was formed in 1850 and named after the Weber River, which in turn was named for John Henry Weber (1779–1859), a fur trapper and trader in the area in the mid-1820s.
