Tanners Port was a port city on the planet Sphinx in the Star Kingdom of Manticore. When the orbital shipyard HMSS Vulcan was hit and destroyed during Mesa's Operation Oyster Bay attack, debris crashed into the Tannerman Ocean causing a surge that destroyed 75% of Tanners Port, killing a substantial fraction of its population.
