Lirian washed up on an island somewhere in the Midnight Ocean in July 2005. She dutifully read through all the in-game documentation, but was unable to figure out how to join a crew. Spying someone on the Guava Island docks wearing what looked like a captain's hat, she approached him and politely asked if he would help her. The pirate in question, Kirvosk - captain of Fish Familiars - immediately invited her to join his crew and took her out for her first sea voyage.
