The Kabayama Family was a powerful and influential family on the planet of Belazura in the Colonies. Coming to power around 450 BBY, the Kabayamas controlled most companies on Belazura by 19 BBY. The patriarch, Ito Kabayama, was a prominent businessman and had direct control of the corporations, making the Kabayama Family very rich. His wife, Yamaya Kabayama, was the senator representing Belazura in the Galactic Senate, and after the Clone Wars, she was appointed the head of the Imperial Ministry of Finance by Emperor Palpatine himself. One of their two sons, Kiyoshi Kabayama, became an ace TIE pilot in the Imperial Navy, while the other, Kenji Kabayama, became a sergeant in the Imperial Army.
