He and his fellow slaves, the Weequay Hatchet and the Wookiee Greybok took opportunity of the Battle of Sevarcos to rise up against their Imperial and Zygerrian slave masters and free several rancors, which turned the battle's tide in favor of the New Republic. Later, Palabar and his companions were recruited by the Zabrak bounty hunter Jas Emari for the liberation of Kashyyyk
