The 917th Air Refueling Squadron is an inactive United States Air Force unit. It was last assigned as a GSU (Geographically Separated Unit) as the aircraft remained at Dyess AFB, Texas, while the unit was assigned to the 43d Operations Group, stationed at Malmstrom AFB, Montana. It was inactivated on 1 July 1994. On 19 Sep 1985, The 917th Air Refueling Squadron was consolidated with the 617th Bombardment Squadron.
