Joe "DOOMMANN" Abene was a former DHT and Compet-n player. He was the first to finish E3M8: Dis in Tyson mode and was the first Compet-n player to upload a demo where the baron freezes the spiderdemon so it can be killed with only a couple of shots from the pistol. DOOMMANN still holds a couple of Compet-n records in Ultimate Doom. He liked Tyson and the fast monsters mode the best. Joe was from New York and lived in the Bronx. He worked in reptile conservation. In June of 2012, Joe passed away unexpectedly after a battle with cancer.
