Gradiel, the "man-god", was the king of Radia, in the North coast of the continent. He had the strength of ten men and was honored as a deity by his people. In the year 60 his kingdom was attacked by the Yodotai during the First Great Crusade. Gradiel fought valiently but he had to withdraw toward the city coast of Akkanon. In 102 he made his last stand during the Battle That Must Not Be Forgotten against the Yodotai Warlord Octavius. Gradiel shattered the warlord's sword, the Blade of the Depths, but he was pierced in turn with the spear Spiritforge and died. His opponent lived short, dying behind the strike of a tsunami that happened during the battle. The Yodotai left the battle defeated.
