A subsidiary of Killian Shipyards, Dumarki Design Systems was the biggest technology company in the Black Star Confederacy. It was responsible for all research and development, and was considered an important asset. There were numerous design teams at work at the same time, cranking out out hundreds of designs for armed transports, battle cruisers, assault shuttles and even battle stations every year. The Confederacy then snapped up the best of the designs. In addition to this, there were departments working on improving propulsion systems, weapons systems, and experimental prototypes.
