The science that this wonder gave to the world led to Roman civilization developing Sewer and Aqueduct networks much earlier than would have with out the extra science bonus from having Conquered the City of Athens on Activision's Earth Scenario. However, Athens is a next door neighbor to Rome so it's possible that Athens could get conquered much earlier than in real life. Its also possible for Roman or Greek civilization to have built this wonder a thousand or more years earlier than in real life.
