Celina Marniss was an alias adopted by Mara Jade when she worked as a hyperdrive mechanic in the city Tropis-on-Varonat on the planet Varonat in 8 ABY. In 0 ABY Jade told Bobbler, a member of the BloodScars on Gepparin, that her name was Celina. When Jade was infiltrating Jabba the Hutt's Palace in 4 ABY in an attempt to assassinate Luke Skywalker, she was stopped by Jabba's security officer Melina Carniss. Mara most likely swapped the M in Melina with the C in Carniss to make her alias Celina Marniss. It was under this name that Mara met her future employer Talon Karrde.
