The Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC), formerly the National Jewish Coalition, is a political lobby established to elicit Jewish support for Republican candidates. American Jews have given most of their support to Democratic candidates for decades because the party was open to them, as it was to other minority ethnic groups, while Republicans shunned them. Founded in 1985, the RJC has 44 chapters.
