Darkon III was a terrestrial planet in the Mid Rim, and was the homeworld of the Darkons, a Human civilization. It was known to be a rebellious world, siding against the Galactic Republic on several occasions. Darkon III's government, the Darkon State, aligned itself with Sith Empires, and the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. The Darkon Army fought as a volunteer unit alongside the Separatist Droid Army, and the pilots of the Darkon Air Force served with the Confederate Navy. As a result, the Galactic Empire punished the inhabitants of the world after the war ended in 19 BBY. Up until the Darkon National Uprising in 0 ABY, the planet saw one of the most brutal Imperial occupations in the galaxy.
