Ta'loh Naeg is a character from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. He is a Sheikah Monk serving the Goddess Hylia and guarding the Ta'loh Naeg Shrine's treasure, a Spirit Orb. He offers a trial. According to Olkin, he was a wise master known as "The Swordsman". This title was enshrined in the Kakariko Village and according to legend, anyone who overcomes his trial, will master the secret art of defense. Ta'loh Naeg's trial acts as a tutorial that teaches several useful combat techniques such as Perfect Dodge, Perfect Guard, and Flurry Rush.
