Darcy Mitani (born October 17, 1973 in Dryden, Ontario) is a Canadian centre playing for the Nippon Paper Cranes of Asia League Ice Hockey. He has accquired Japanese citizenship. He played Tier II Junior "A" hockey with the Thunder Bay Flyers from 1990 to 1992 and then played for the North Dakota Fighting Sioux from 1992 to 1996. Undrafted by any NHL club, Mitani played in 1996-97 for the Charlotte Checkers and the Wheeling Nailers. In 1997 Mitani went to Japan and joined the Nippon Paper Cranes. He has played there since. He played for Japan in the 2008 World Championship.
