Cora lives togehter with her husband Enos and their close friend Sam on a ranch. She's the one who weares the breeches and she's very strict with her husband, because she knows that Enos' stubbornness sometimes leads to "disasters", e.g., when Enos tries to brake a horse 'though he's a bad horseman. Anyway, she has a kind heart and even agrees on keeping a racehorse, 'though it is of no use on their ranch. She's also good in the kitchen; her pies are famous.
