The Flying V has a similar body to the Explorer and a few other pointy-cutaway guitars. However, instead of aiming upwards, the flying V's straight cutaways point downwards in a V shape. The Flying V's frets are really easily accessible with no cutaways in your arm's way, but it may feel strange to begin using the Fying V at first. The Flying V's pickguard is large and covers up most of it's body. But its sound is as good as any Gibson Guitar, and looks cool too.
