The second daughter of Zachariah and Vivienne Layland, Zoe Stella Layland was born on 20th November, at St. Mungo's. She had been the black sheep of the family from the beginning, with overflowing energy and insensible curiosity. As the youngest child, she had been shadowed by her siblings' accomplishments before her, always feeling as if she was the one from whom the least was expected. She had decided that didn't bother her though and, whilst not making it her life's goal to disappoint her family, she had done a fairly good job at tinting their name with her self-indulgent behavior.
